Tackling Business Challenges

Tackling Business Challenges

Without a coach, passionate entrepreneurs often face business challenges alone (1 minute).

The Basics

Entrepreneurs frequently qualify for the expression, "alone at the top." Depending on the structure of your company, the presence of an executive team or board of directors, and the nature of your staff, you may not have people with whom you can speak candidly about your hopes and fears. A coach is a safe listener and sounding board.

Staying on Course

The entrepreneur is often running in a million directions at once. Depending on changes in their environment, industry, and technology (not to mention staffing), they are usually juggling more balls than they can count. (And who has time to count?) Keeping your eye on the original target, staying true to your values, continuing to be accountable to yourself—these are some of the ways a coach can be useful. (I’ve actually been called a "professional nudge.")

Finding Natural Balance

Resilience and course correction are necessary for all of us in this chaotic 21st century. Entrepreneurs often find it hard to separate the passion for their work from their private or family lives. Keeping clear lines, remembering to take time for yourself—these are the often-overlooked things that keep you and your business strong.
